Riding with the beast

A surreal journey by Harley-Davidson from the UK to Israel by land and sea. During the course of the voyage ex ship's officer Ian Mutch discovers that his girlfriend who is riding pillion is rapidly turning into a grizzly bear. The metamorphosis was invisible to most observers but convincingly obvious to the author who was baffled by her change. Weeks camping outside the old city of Jerusalem led to encounters with a host of questing characters on missions of personal discovery. An unusual tale of emotional bewilderment delivered with a generous helping of black humour by means of which the author sustains his morale.
