Great tips for empathy

Overall I highly enjoyed this book. I only took away one star because some stories and anecdotes she has described sometimes word for word here, in her interviews, & her podcast. She does go into different levels of details in the various discussions of said example. Then again if it’s a pivotal moment of her life, I can see why she speaks on them often.

Read if you are looking for some good “that’s an excellent way to say that thing I’ve been thinking.” It also provides some good challenges to those who may be stuck in one perspective on life experiences & are looking for a new angle.

Amazing Book

Very educational and so interesting/amazing to hear stories of others going through things and how to deal with them and see another perspective on those things.

Must Read.

Take heed to my warning: Brene Brown is a revolutionary warrior. She will set your brain on fire. She shares her bookshelf with you and you will want to read them ALL. You will want to join her on this quest.

My depression is gone

Ok, I know a lot of these reviews are sketchy and 'which ones can I trust' but you can trust mine. I'm from Minnesota, grew up in Colorado and Brené Brown has literally changed my life.

I have struggled with depression for so many freaking years, and little to my surprise did I come to find out that it wasn't depression at all but a list of other things that I actually had control of but wasn't aware of. Her research provided a way for me to be able to understand myself on a level deeper than anyone or any book I've ever read. I read her books every night like scripture because her words literally feed my soul. Sounds like hippy BS but it isn't. It's real. It's here. And you'll never hear about it because of the psychiatric society. I was depressed and bed ridden for two weeks and finally got myself to jump into her book again and literally overnight I was better. My husband was totally surprised and shocked and confused. We'd never seen an answer so quick like that.

This book was the last missing puzzle piece and everything has finally fit together. Please for the sake of your own mental health, read her books.
