Despite the expected amount of physical violence in the genre, this otherwise fast-paced plot teems with overwhelmingly graphic depictions of brutality, both emotional and anatomical mutilations and sexuality. I am not a prude, but the Bourne story is overshadowed by these unnecessary and toxic embellishments. If the next (?) episode does not minimize the "obligatory" maiming and death, I expect it will be my last Bourne novel.

The Bourne Enigma

Terrible plot, very tedious! Truly not up to the standard of previous novels.
