Publisher Description
He’s a player. He’s cocky. He’s not exactly a prince. Only he technically is. Meet your new royal obsession in this addictive novel from New York Times bestselling author Tracy Wolff.
Being rich opens a lot of doors. When you’re rich and royal, those doors lead to a new bedroom every night. I should know. The tabloids call me His Royal Hotness, Prince Kian of Wildemar. Women across the world see me as a naughty fairy tale, an image I’m happy to indulge. As the spare to the heir, I’m the prince with none of the power . . . and all of the perks.
Then my twin brother is kidnapped, and suddenly I’m the one who could be king. The crown chasers start circling—and yet it’s a luscious waitress who catches my eye. With a smart mouth and the curves to back it up, Savannah Breslin is as brazen as I’d expect an American commoner to be.
But Savvy’s not interested in playing Cinderella. As sexy as she is, she’s no stranger to heartbreak. Besides, a nice guy wouldn’t drag her into all the drama that comes along with royalty. Lucky I’m not a nice guy. And, as it turns out, I might not even be her first prince. . . .

PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Wolff's laugh-out-loud rags-to-riches contemporary is brimming with charm. Prince Kian of the nonexistent nation of Wildemar, the twin brother of the crown prince Garrett, is forced to tame his philandering ways when Garrett is kidnapped and Kian takes his place as heir to the throne. When audacious American Savannah "Savvy" Breslin jumps in to save Kian from an awkward situation during one of his new princely duties, she's surprised to fall for the handsome, free-spirited aristocrat, especially considering her poor past experiences with his family. Familiar with the demands of the aristocracy, she knows that any kind of involvement would be a bad idea, but she finds it impossible to resist Kian's laid-back attitude, exceptional good looks, and loveable entourage of three good-hearted guards. Kian's strength of character is exhibited through his ability to balance his desire for Savvy against his concern for his brother and the requirements of his position, especially during the kidnapping's fallout. He gives Savvy plenty of attention, but her fear of loss leads her to doubt his ability to commit to her, and that doubt threatens their relationship. With witty repartee, well-developed characters, and a splash of suspense, Wolff has turned what could be a ridiculous premise into a clever and refreshing love story.

Not all that
Felt the book was a little rushed. Didn’t really keep me engaged.
Playboy to good guy!
This is one of those books where the ending made all the difference for me. This book started out a little rough and I get why. We have twins who are in line for the throne. Garrett, the older twin is first in line and the typical play-by-the-rules man. Then we have Kian. The Spare. That's what he's called because if something happens to Garrett, then Kian gets the throne.
Kian is the ultimate playboy. He gets all the luxury of being a prince without the duties. I think it's over the top when we hear so much about a mans playboy ways and I just don't enjoy that. However, I get the author needed to establish that he is the irresponsible one and show the growth in his character throughout the story. And she was right. It's probably why I loved the ending. Seeing him go from not a care in the world to his devotion to Savannah made me love this guy. Once he and Savannah met, Kian was everything I could ask for in a Hero.
There was an added element of Savannah being in a secret relationship with Garrett 5 years prior that didn't really add anything to the story, so I wish that wasn't a part of it, but that's just a personal preference. The reason I didn't like it so much is because it ended up putting Garrett in a bad light and my understanding is he will get a book next. I'm hoping the author will be able to redeem him for me.
