SANJAVA

‘SANJVA’ is the collection of five stories written by the popular storyteller in Marathi Mr. Sumesh Wadawala. Stories are published individually in various renowned Diwali editions and received great response. ‘Sanjva’ is that time of a day where day light is leaving and night is entering slowly. This is a ambiguity between light and dark. Author compares this situation with human stories. Sometimes we feel that life is full of darkness with no hopes of light. But every night is followed by a day of light. All these stories are grey, sometimes dark initially but all have tremendous climaxes, u turns and the light of hope in the end.

सांजवा म्हणजे सुमेध वडावाला यांच्या पाच कथांचा संग्रह. सांजवा म्हणजे तिन्हिसांजेनंतरचा रात्रपूर्व अल्पकाळ ! दिवस पुरता ढळलेला असतो. रेंगाळणाऱ्या क्षीणशा उजेडआभेत अंधाराची शाश्वती दाटलेली असते. त्यानंतरची दीर्घ रात्र म्हणजे प्रकाशाचा अखंड अभाव! तिच्या पोटात उजाडण्याची आशा पालवत असते. मानवी जीवनातही सुख-दुःखांचे आवर्त असेच मावळत-उमलत असतात. कधी निसटून गेलेल्या सुखांच्या आणि कधी प्राप्त केलेल्या दुःखमुत्तीच्या आठवणींचे प्रदेश; आयुष्याच्या ‘सांजवा’काळात कसे गर्दगहिरे होतात, हुरहूर लावत राहतात याचा काव्यगर्भ, नाट्यमय प्रत्यय ‘सांजवा’तल्या पाचीही कथा देतात. विविध नामवंत दिवाळी अंकांतून पूर्वप्रसिद्धी प्राप्त या कथा एकत्र एका संग्रहात वाचकांच्या भेटीला येत आहेत ही नक्कीच पर्वणी ठरेल.
