Very secret lover
This was not at all what I expected. Karen has a months-long affair with a masked man, not knowing he is her former guardian/best friend’s dad/dad’s best friend. They are smoking hot, very intense chemistry. Obviously the secret only stays that way for so long and there are repercussions. I did not love the jumps at the end—I normally really like them, but these just didn’t do it for me. The very end part, I totally could have done without.

Big mistakes
There are noticeable editing errors in this book. I expect the occasional typo but this book had scene errors. In once scene she’s in a drug store, then hotel room, and back to the hotel maybe, it doesn’t say. The last several chapters are kind of rushed in some parts then drawn out and pointless in others. There is a huge mistake where the author talks about a son, who doesn’t exist. I question how much this book was edited. The beginning was ok but certainly not my favorite.
