Publisher Description

Firefighter Jackson Hart is back in Brooklyn and on the hunt for the girl who’s kept him burning for ten long years. The girl he left, in a total prick move, without saying goodbye. Now he’s determined to make it right, to hell with her three-date rule.

But Becca’s not ready to forgive and forget. In fact, she seems determined to stoke his fire every chance she gets. She wants to avoid sexy distractions like him? Fine. Because what she doesn’t know—yet—is that Jax isn’t the kind of man to give up when he wants something. And he always gets what he wants.

Burn for you

This is book # 3 in the Risky Business series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. The series is very good, and I encourage all to read them in order.

Jax and Becca have a nasty history that ended with him leaving town before they could have that date. Now she can barely stand him. Well, she tolerates him for his body, then.

Becca was really hurt when Jax up and left with no warning. He was close to her family and they missed him too. Can they repair the past and find a future?

Such a sweet and yet HOT romance. This is a book for those who enjoy heat in their romance. I liked the banter and they sounded like a great couple.

Not so great!

Like the two previous books of the Risky Business series, I like the men: Cole, Ryan, and Jax. Three different sexy men with hearts of gold as well as honestly flawed but honorable & brave to put up with these somewhat emotionally immature women with a stick up their butts most of the time who were probably objects of masochism when it came to these three women. Among the three women of the series, I thought Becca is probably the worst. The only intriguing part of the story was how Jax is an dedicated, hardworking and brave firefighter whose actions doing his job is honorable. I admire his true bravery and sense of wanting to make things right even if it’s trying to win over Becca again after he broke her heart after standing her up when they were teenagers. As usual in the book series, the first few chapters there were the meaningless and on Becca’s part revenge sex with Jax and then from there, it pretty much dragged on with the unexpected roadblock thrown in their somewhat tumultuous relationship. Quite frankly, I thought Becca was an emotional and immature Italian woman who definitely had an axe to grind to hold onto a grudge for ten years. I have to say the last installment of the book series has been disappointing. Even though I liked Jax, I really thought Becca was a wretch!!! If this was a real person in real life and she treated Jax the way she did in the name of revenge sex, no self respecting man would’ve put up with that kind of cruel behavior and treatment no matter how angry she was. But of course, this is about the challenge of a chase. So, no I didn’t think it wasn’t a great read.
