Impossible to stop

I just couldn’t put this one down. So well written. Bravo!

Couldn’t finished

Really enjoyed the overall story and world building, definitely could have been a great book series. However the author’s writing style isn’t good in my opinion. He spends so many pages describing the most inane things that just turn into confusing run on sentences. Feels like he was trying to meet a word count and opened a thesaurus and just started blabbing. He also just cannot write women without going into great detail about their bodies. Reads like a YA novel or edgy watered down smut. Book one was able to tie the story together at the end into something worth trudging through all the issues described above but I don’t think I can do it a second time.

Great transitional book

(There are some typos in this book. A forgotten period here, a misspelling there, but it’d need a careful eye to catch them all; just getting that out first.)

You could technically say this book is primarily filler to set up the last book, & you’d technically be right in my opinion, but you wouldn’t be doing justice to the depth this book has. It takes all of the existing characters & deepens them, makes you care about them, understand them, makes you feel their struggle & their growth.

It is a textbook example of character development done right, & it isn’t boring in the slightest. This book is a worthy installment in the Night Angel trilogy, & I recommend you read all three.
