Shark's Rise Shark's Rise

Publisher Description

When a dream is taken to the edge of destruction, what will it take to rise again?

Abbigail Gibson has finally broken through Sebastian Shark’s staunch defenses, erected through years of having to fight for his multimillion-dollar success and the skyscraper that will be his legacy.

But as construction starts on the Edge, the foundations of Sebastian’s world are crumbling. Security has been breached, lives have been taken, and Bas has no choice but to hide Abbi to secure her safety. But at what price? As each day goes by, Abbi’s health drains away by frightening degrees. Has he kept her safe, only to sacrifice her vitality? Her light?

Separated, miserable, and on the trail of bizarre clues that lead to dead-end shadows, Sebastian and Abbigail can’t be sure of anything anymore…until destiny intervenes with a precious gift for them both.

They must now decide between living in fear, letting enemies shatter their trust and destroy their bond, or defy the odds and believe in their love—and see just how high they can rise.

Terrific conclusion!

Well, this was a love affair! The great Shark was brought to his knees by Little Red and her failing health. It showed a softer side of the dominant, bossy billionaire over achiever which was sweet although he didn't lose his sexy edge when Abbi needed him. A lot of drama between Abbi and Ethan when Abbi's safety is front and center. Bas and Abbi went round and round until the reason behind her illness was revealed (no real surprise there) and she put her foot down on coming home. The story was a little slow in parts and didn't really reveal any answers to the left over burning questions from the previous stories. People are flying in and out of the story with old ones out the door and new ones introduced. Not much happening with the mysterious culprit or the building of Edge. I was looking forward to more of the cute architect but he wasn't featured. Some of the more interesting parts were the interactions between Rio and Grant. I guess we'll get more on that with the next round of stories. I felt a little cheated with all the dangling parts and no answers. No bad guy, no backstory of Terryn, no Sean. Just another dead girl, more intrigue, a new venture for Abbi and Bas, and then story just kinda ended. I guess we have a few things to look forward to in the upcoming stories. Can't wait! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.

Too good didn’t want it to end

Oh man the felt too short. The 3rd installment was so good I didn’t want it to end and looking ahead to Grants Heat I know there is going to be some major stuff coming down the pike. Sebastian is such a perfect Alpha male even though Abbi is anything but submissive. Their relationship gives me all the feels. This series has everything you could want, hot alpha male, strong independent woman, lots of steamy lovin and a wonderful love story. As much as I fear what is coming next for Rio and Grant I cannot wait to read the next book. As with the other books the narrators on the audio version where perfection but I expect nothing less with Jacob Morgan and Erin Mallon.
