I liked the plot and characters quite a bit. It was interesting and held my attention.
However, the spelling mistakes were terrible. It’s nock an arrow, not knock an arrow and a horse nickers, not knickers. And you bear down, not bare down. Was this proofread at all? And the bio says the author owns horses so assuming she’d know some of this? At least nickers.
The language was a bit too modern as well. I get that this is a young adult book and you have to play to your audience but it really took me out of the moment at times. But still enjoyed the book despite the flaws.
Exciting
An Adventure in which you end up falling in love with the characters and wanting more. It’s a must read.

Loved this book! Attica is definitely wild and snarky. Love her attitude! I love how she takes things head on. James I’m very iffy about. He is very possessive, not sure how to feel about him. I can’t wait to find out more about Allister and what he brings to the table! Oooh and let’s not forget Raven! Eeek! Can’t wait for She Rises!!
