Must Read Sweet Romance
I love that Since You’ve Been Gone is an old friends reunion and turn into lovers. Emma never knew Garrett had a crush on her since they were little. It’s fun to watch her discover he does and to see how that plays out. They also have the obstacle that he does not live in Magnolia Sound. I thought Since You’ve Been Gone was a wonderful read. I thought that it is so sweet and so romantic. Emma and Garrett are both wonderful characters that you can’t help but love and cheer their relationship on. I also love that they have a dog rescue, we just got a dog this year from a local dog rescue so that made it that much more special to me
The magnolia sound books always make me long to visit a small coastal town, and I absolutely adore Since You’ve Been Gone and all the Magnolia Sound books. This book is a Must Read!!

Emmaline Ryan loved her hometown of Magnolia Sound and being a teacher. She was trying to survive living while trying to pay off her ex-husband’s debts. She gave up believing in miracles long ago but was looking one to appear to save her family’s animal rescue. Garrett Coleman had loved Emmaline since she was eight years old. Things in life changed for both of them and they lost keeping in touch with each other. When Garrett returned to Magnolia Sound to visit his family, he is known as the “#Hot Doc” and a social media star. Garrett worked hard to become a veterinarian and he finds himself questioning his abilities and social status in veterinary medicine. With his chance encounter meeting Emmaline once again, Garrett finds himself having another chance to love again.
Add in his teasing brothers, a long forgotten father, and many animals needing care and rescue, Garrett has to prove to everyone, especially to himself, that he is up for the challenge. Emotions run high, fears are faced, and life’s complications make for a fantastic story! Definitely, a five star book!

This story really touched my heart. Emmaline (Emma) and Garrett’s story goes from a long time friendship to discovering their mutual feelings and the family entanglements and life that intercedes. The way Emma and Garrett navigate their way through it all to come out on the other side is sweet and beautiful. I loved Emma’s independence when it came to what she wanted and the way she was able to give Garrett his confidence back. From the first paragraph I couldn’t put it down.
