I’ve read every book from the series thus far. They’re such an easy light hearted read. Never drawn out or dull. The only negative is that I wish they were longer so I could keep reading. Looking forward to the next one!
Couldn’t wait to start reading
Smoldering Flames and Secrets is number 7 in the series. The usual wonderful characters are present. Grandma Po Po, Matthew, And Lucy Fong, Raina’s ‘foster’ cousin (who has her own series).
Because this story take place in Raina’s home town, we get to meet family members, only mentioned in previous books.
Having been privileged to attend a Chinese wedding many years ago, I was interested to see how much I remembered, as this story revolves around one.
I’ve already preordered the next Raina Sun title, Hazy Grooms and Homicide, which will be released in late April.
Great story by Anne R Tan!!
This is Smoldering Flames and Secrets, book 7 of Anne R Tan’s outstanding series, the Raina Sun Mysteries. Raina is an amateur detective and her Grandma Po Po is her trusty sidekick. This series is super fun, except for the murder portion, of course. It’s also interesting to learn about Chinese culture. I really think the series would make a wonderful television series for Hallmark Movies and Mysteries! You will not want to put it down until the eventful ending!
