Lizette Monroe would be crazy to turn down her sweepstakes entering addicted twin's offer. Paris, France? It's the perfect getaway after all she's been dealing with. All she has to do is pretend to be Nola. Can't go wrong there, right?
Too bad it's not France, but a small town Tennessee town. Still, it gets her out of the public eye for awhile. Enter problem number one in the form of Dirk Ramsey, Nola's childhood best friend. He's grown up, gorgeous, and has eyes for her, except he thinks she's Nola. Lizette wants nothing more than to tell him the truth, but Nola's embarrassment and shame over her current condition has her begging Lizette to keep up the charade.
It wouldn't be so hard if Dirk's touch didn't awaken a part of her soul she thought was lost. Did he really have to be there at every turn, especially when the truth is closer to coming out?
And when Dirk does learn he's been reminiscing with the wrong twin- the one who didn't pay much attention to him back then, will that ruin a chance to get to know the man Lizette is now having romantic feelings for?

Nikki Lynn Barrett’s So Unlike Me
Look alikes in hair, builds, eyes but sooo different
in personality.
Meet Lizette and Nola Monroe, identical twin sisters.
They are both from a very wealthy family.
After losing their mother to a stray bullet, they were
not prepared for the death of their father so soon
after that incident. Now the twins have become very
wealthy heiresses.
The sad side, Nola has developed agoraphobic with
panic attacks. She cannot go outside the house.
Then Lizette’s fiancé breaks up with her on a national
television reality show. How demoralizing!!
Then Nola wins a contest.....a trip to Paris. Nola talks
Lizette into taking her place since she is unable to
leave their house. She tells Lizette this will help get
over the breakup and be a fun adventure.
Only the trip is to Paris, Tennessee not France!!
Little did either twin know that backer of the contest
is a former friend from childhood who was close to
Nola. Will Lizette be able to pull off being Nola??
Will their former childhood friend, Dirk see through
the twin switch?? Will the undeniable chemistry
Lizette and Dirk share be ruined when her real
identity surfaces??
Secrets, threats, drama, stunning emotional moments,
make for an interesting, suspenseful and intriguing
read plus there is some romance and humor.
I volunteered to read So Unlike Me. Thanks to the
author for the opportunity. My opinion is my own.
Loved it!!
So Unlike Me (Winning Your Heart Book 1) by Nikki Lynn Barrett
5 Stars
This was a fun quick read that I really enjoyed. This was my second book by this author and I already can't wait for the third. This was my first twin swap story which amazes me with the amount of books I've read and I was really looking forward to it, and what could go wrong in that scenario right? What could go wrong is you meet Dirk, the childhood best friend of the twin you are portraying lol the one that may or may not have had a serious crush on her.
Lizette learned really quick what her sister (who is dealing with many issues since their parent deaths) begging her to take her place in the prize from the sweepstakes she entered would entail. She's already been all over the news, so a quiet week away from it all would have been perfect, but no matter how hard she tried, circumstances just kept her in the spotlight, and what happens when she finds herself falling for her sister's best friend while still keeping up the pretense. What happens is you don't know if he is even interested in you or if it's who he thinks he is spending time with, and with circumstances escalating at home and Dirk accompanying Lizette home will she lose the hopes and dreams she has built up since meeting him?
I loved this book, the style and flow of the whole story was perfect. and I can't wait to read the next story in this series and see what the future holds for Lizette, Nola, and Dirk.
