CAN A CLASH OF WILLS
Nineteenth-century, Scotland:
When a mad lass in trousers shoots at him, Munro "Bear" MacLawry isn't sure what impresses him more-the girl's sure aim or her irresistibly tempting curves. Catriona MacColl has fled to the Highlands with her half-sister to escape an unwanted wedding, and wants no part of him, nor any man. But he can't abandon the flame-haired, sharp-tongued wildcat now that he's discovered her-not when she fits so perfectly in his arms...
LEAD TO A LOVE FOR ALL TIME?
Munro has more than earned his nickname-he's a well-muscled, well-favored mountain of a man with an engaging bad-boy grin and a string of well-satisfied lasses behind him. Bringing Catriona food, blankets, candles, everything she needs to survive a winter in an abandoned abbey, Munro is an unexpected gift in her reckless bid for freedom-and an unexpected complication. Clan MacDonald has plans for her, and they don't include her falling for a MacLawry. But this man makes her feel like a woman-and he may be her one chance to live a life about which she's only dared dream...in Some Like It Scot by New York Times bestselling author Suzanne Enoch.

PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Enoch's colorful fourth Scandalous Highlanders 19th-century kilted romp (after Mad, Bad, and Dangerous in Plaid) demonstrates her theory of what her readers want: namely, powerful fictitious clan leaders. Munro "Bear" MacLawry is the huge and handsome youngest brother of the MacLawry clan's laird. Bear's siblings, all recently settled into marriages and bairn-raising, consider him just a big buffoon, handy in a brawl but not overly bright. Feisty trouser-clad Catriona "Cat" MacColl and her English half-sister, Elizabeth, are on the run from fate-worse-than-death engagements to unbearable Englishmen. When Bear finds Cat hunting deer to feed herself and Elizabeth, initial mutual mistrust inevitably flares into luscious lovemaking. Enoch handles her genre's conventions with aplomb while developing convincing characterizations. Returning fans will appreciate glimpses of Bear's siblings' own courting complications from previous books, but it's the joy of the hunky, often shirtless hero taming the spunky but virginal wildcat that carries this frothy tale along to its predictable but satisfying conclusion.

Loved this series
But it ended far too soon. :’(((
Bear & Cat are adorable and I wanted to read so much more about them after the big family brawl (which ended with a bang, literally. l’m impressed with Charlotte —good going, girl; actually, with all the MacLawry women, —no wusses there).
I wish there were more MacLawry siblings, LOTS more.
Love
Bears my fav ;)
Captivating!
Loved this captivating journey back in time. The author's detailed descriptive narrative transported the reader firmly back in the early eighteenth century, into the beautiful Scottish highlands with castles and ruins as well as clans and their workings and it was magical. This is was a first read of a Suzanne Enoch story and I was not disappointed, and will need to read more of her stories.
Lord Munro"Bear" MacLawry at the age of twenty seven is the sole unattached MacLawry. In the last year and a half all of his siblings have settled down, married and were having children. It was all sugar and roses enough to rot his teeth. Not that "Bear" wasn't a ladies man at Six foot seven inches with broad shoulder as big as a mountain and all muscle he had plenty of women wanting his attention, but he didn't fancy settling down and having children and a wife to take care of. One day when he is out tracking a buck to kill, he is totally taken unaware when he is beaten to the kill by someone else. Upon further inspection, he notices that it is a lass not a lad with long red hair and so he follows her to the ruins of Haldane Abbey. Intrigued Bear confronts the lass and keeps his identity a secret.
Catriona "Cat" MacColl and her half sister Elizabeth are on the run and hiding out in the Abbey. Cat was raised by her father who wanted a boy, so when her mother died when she was little, he dressed and treated her as a boy. She was not allowed to grow her hair, made to wear pants and learned to shoot hunt and fish at an early age. Mocked and made fun of her entire life, Cat leaves shortly after her father dies and rescues her half sister from a unwanted betrothed. Cat being self sufficient and feeling that these ruins were a perfect place to hide doesn't need or want any help especially from someone that could bring more people to their hiding place.
But Munro is taken by the lass and their snarky banter and with all the time he has on his hands he cannot leave her and her sister alone. And although Cat doesn't want to admit it, she is glad that he keeps coming back. The sizzling chemistry between them soon leads to some knee melting kisses and Cat is taken by this gentle caring giant and he can not get enough of his hell cat. I was thoroughly mesmerized by the tenderness and all encompassing giving and caring nature that was Munro. But what will happen when their secrets that they are both hiding are found out? What will Munro's family do about Catriona and her secret? Will they get their HEA? You will have to read this captivating and enchanting tale of Some Like it Scot to find out. Loved it!
