Another Great Book by a Great Author

One thing different with this latest Cupid book is that each chapter starts off with a definition. This makes you wonder about the amount of time that was required in order to find just the right ones. This isn’t a historical romance but our author gives her readers more of the history of one of the founding families.
Lori never shortchanges her readers in any way when it comes to romance. And there’s no sex before it’s time. It’s all about building the anticipation so that when it finally happens, it’s perfect.
If you’ve been following this series, this book is a great addition. It’s like you’ve become a resident and are learning more about your family. Cupid sounds like a great place to visit and maybe even put down some roots. Here’s a town that has it’s own myth to it that seems to draw its residents closer. The great thing about how Lori has written this series is that each book can be read as a stand-alone so you could read the books in any order. But if you want to stay true to the series I would read them in the order in which they were written.
Friends to lovers. Lovers to friends.
This is a love story about childhood friends, whose friendship matures to love. When Jericho returns home after being away for 3 years, sparks fly..but the road to love still isn't smooth. I really enjoyed the background story in this book and even looked into the history of the Davis Mountains where the fictional town of Cupid, Texas is set.
