Better to be a sinner. This is second part of the duet and we get inside the mess that is Ethan. I wanna say it...I can’t quit you...Zeke has his own ups and downs and demons that plague him.

Rich with drama and all the feels.

Omg!!!! Claudia Burgoa leaves you with an absolutely broken heart in the last book of the series. I mean absolutely shattered, knot in your throat emotional. But let me just say she mend that little heart with this book. Ethan has to learn to love himself before he can live anyone else. We see how the characters in this story fight to move forward. The ups and downs on this roller coaster ride are worth all the headaches and heartaches. Absolutely love what she did with these characters.

The second half of this duet started with me a sobbing mess until I remembered the timeline of events from when I read Us After You. I was ready to DNF in those first few pages but sometimes I can be dramatic like that.

This conclusion was everything I wanted. The relationship that builds between Ethan and Zeke took its time and became what they should have been all along: true partners. I'm not usually a fan of slow burn but this felt so incredibly right. The disease of addiction takes time and support to overcome and I loved how this story treated that journey with the respect and dignity it deserves.

There's some real angst amongst the Sinners but the ending of this duet really showed how hardships can be overcome and the family you choose is just as much family as the family of blood.
