South Atlantic Sojourn

More than just a tale of adventure, it’s a story of joy, terror, hope and survival which bonds a family into a closely knit team fighting against potential oblivion as they struggle against the elements to reach one of the loneliest islands on earth, Tristan da Cunha. It’s the story of a young family who came out of a potential catastrophe relatively unscathed after their yacht was dismasted in the middle of the South Atlantic on a voyage from Europe to South Africa, and how they then persevere against all odds to reach safety. They eventually reach their home port of Durban, weary, sad but stronger for the experience.
