Customer Reviews
For Star Trek DS9 fans only
If you haven’t seen Deep Space 9 and/or are unfamiliar with the Dominion war, this book is not for you. It is generally well done and the stories fall into one of three categories. One category is fill in the gaps. There are about 3-4 stories that fill in the gaps nicely: the attack on earth, the fall of Betazed, and events surrounding the episode “In the Pale Moonlight”in which the Romulans enter into the war. There’s a nice story about what happened to the energy creature that appeared in Day of the Dove in the original series. The other category which may overlap with one or two of these stories is the appearance of characters from Star Trek The Next generation and the Enterprise D crew. There’s even an Ambassador Spock and 24th century Scotty tie in from Next Generation episodes. The final category is stories that are possible, but have no links to the TV series or events in them. They’re not bad. Some of them link up to some of the novel series like the new frontier of the Star Trek Corp of Engineers. But they’re not fantastic.
Interesting collection of story lines
The book is a varied collection of different stories from the DS9 series
Good read
Gave some incite into what happened during some of the best of DS9. Not all of the short stories were great but more better than bad.
