This novel chronicles the life of Kaishi, a simple daughter of the priest of her primitive tribe, and Sax and his quartet of humanoids bent on scourging a parasitic species from the universe. At first, it feels like reading two unrelated narratives but then hints of their paths crossing come into play.
In depth world building and character construction make this book compelling. I may have benefited from drawings of some more complex species though.
