5 stars- best sci fi novel series in a while
Incredible series. Had me on the edge of my seat from the first chapter of book 1. I feel like i could write a cinematic screenplay myself - with the level of detail that went into this. Full immersion at its best. I only wish there were more to read of Gamma’s adventures on Planet
Just repetition…
I like a lot of his books, but this one was just so mind numbing bad. On an iPhone, it’s 80% descriptions of robots fighting. Then a brief intrepid of actual story. The. Another 15-20 pages of a fight. Then 2-4 pages of dialog building, only now and then, on story advancement, then about 15-20 pages of a robot fight. It got so bad, I literally just started tapping the right side of the screen to scroll pages until I saw quotation marks for dialog. Was a millions times more enjoyable but I’m done with this series. I tried. Just horrible bush league “writing” if you want to call it that and not the least bit what you would expect from a usually good writer.
