Publisher Description
Floyd meets Lily at a party in New York City. The story of their first meeting under the watchful eye of Dragan.
STATUE OF LIBERTY is a one act play presented as “un spectacle dans un fauteuil” (a show in an armchair), an early 19th century invention of the French dramatist Alfred de Musset (1810-1857).
Monsieur de Musset created this form as a theater experience to be read, thus avoiding the constraints of staging a production in an actual playhouse.
Here, in the 21st century, using the tools of our age, the reading of the play is performed by the actors so the viewer may comfortably rest in their favorite fauteuil.
