Publisher Description

I began this book when i was about 60 years old and nearing retirement. I've had a good life and wanted to present a factual account of it. I was still working and most of the people I wrote about were still around and some still working. There were no shameful or embarrassing things among those still living that I needed and wanted to write about, but I realized I'd need to connect with them for approval or as a matter of a courtesy to them for approval or as a matter of a courtesy to them. So I first decided it would be better to write a novel with fictionalized names. Using factual life experiences and made-up names to create a story I began. Realizing early into this process that I couldn't write fiction I quit working on it. I kept the documents, diaries, pictures, etc. that i had and gave myself a promise to write a true story after I retired and would have more time to devote to it.
