Publisher Description
Ten years ago, Dylan McCormick and Maggie Jennings were two eighteen-year-olds in love.
With a cold father and absent mother at home, he was drawn to her warmth, her humor, and her kindness. She was the best thing that had ever happened to him. But then he had to let her go so she could have a chance at a better life. One that didn't involve late-night diners and rusted out cars and counting pennies. And so, he shattered his own heart to give her a chance at something more.
Maggie thought Dylan would be her future, not her past. But for ten years now, that's where he's been—until he gets traded to the Dallas Longhorns, the pro baseball team Maggie works for. And she can see firsthand that the boy she once loved is now a man, but with the same passion for the game, the same athleticism and tenderness that drew her to him. But a decade ago, he chose baseball over her. What if he breaks her heart again?
Dylan wants a second chance with the woman he never stopped loving. And this time, he's going to fight for her.

See All3.5 Second Chance, High School Sweethearts
This is a steamy and sweet second chance romance with two former high school sweethearts.
Dylan gets traded to the Longhorns baseball team, coincidentally where Maggie is working as a media coordinator. Now, Maggie is determined to stay emotionally separated from interactions with Dylan, but Dylan is determined to get back in her good graces.
It’s a lovely, sweet story with plenty of steamy scenes and the relationship progresses nicely with hard truths and lies discussed.
There is swearing, steamy times, discussion of parental death, and drinking.
Dallas Longhorns
I enjoy baseball so that part of the book was good. Plot was pretty predictable but ended happily ever after.
