Publisher Description

Byline: SHABBIR H. KAZMI Market started the week under pressure, as the benchmark KSE-100 lost 61 points on the first trading day to 12,371 levels. However, from the very next day positive movement was seen, but movement remained range-bound between 12,446 and 12,483pts. The revival, witnessed on Tuesday and Wednesday, was fuelled by the expectation investors had from the upcoming results' season. Onwards, the index kept flirting with the psychological barrier of 12,500, but lacking the zeal to surpass it, and closed the week at 12,463 levels, recording a marginal gain of 30 points WoW.
