When Grace accepted the assignment to protect Alex, the human grandson of Lucas Sempre, the head of the Vampire Council, she could not have predicted that her world would be turned upside down. The assignment should have been simple, prevent the Acelades from kidnapping Alex and fulfilling the ancient prophecy that would give them unparalleled power. Instead Grace has been forced to face her past and risk her future.
