Publisher Description
Andrew Lang was a Scottish prolific author, mostly known as the collector of folk and fairy tales.
“Story of the King Who Would See Paradise” is a fairy tale entered in “The Orange Fairy Book”, that was published in 1906. Once during the hunting in the mountains the King meets an old fakeer, who is reading the Koran. The King asks him what is he reading, and fakeer replies that he is reading about Paradise and praying that he might be worthy to enter there. The curious king inquiries the fakeer about it and asks to show him a glimpse of Paradise. Notwithstanding the king’s request seems to be unachievable, the old fakeer will find the way to show at King the Paradise. Read the tale to know, how will the story end!
