Just because you’re through with your past, doesn’t mean it’s through with you.
Margaret Beringer didn’t have an easy adolescence. She hated her name, was less than popular in school, and was always cast aside as a “farm kid.” However, with the arrival of Courtney Carrington, Margaret’s youth sparked into color. Courtney was smart, beautiful, and put together—everything Margaret wasn’t. Who would have imagined that they’d fit together so perfectly?
But first loves can scar.

Great book
This story is really touching and pulls at the heart strings. It reminds you of your first love and how much it truly means. This is an easy read and very entertaining. One of my favorite Brayden books.
Wow wow wow!!
My favorite MB book so far. Couldn’t put it down!!!
The emotions are strong with this one.
This book was way better than I expected. I loved the way the relationships developed. The characters were brought to life in such a way that I got pleasantly lost in the imagery time and time again. I hate when I had to put this book down. I deeply related to Maggie and Courtney. Their struggles brought me much revelation about faith and forgiveness. I've learned the price of holding things in and giving up on life through this lovely book. I'll definitely add this to my list of "Re-reads"
