From the trailer parks of Vegas to the mansions of Nashville, Bunnie Xo has lived a lot of lives and seen the darkest sides of humanity. Her memoir, Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic, is cold, clear evidence that no one is irredeemable. With a heavy dose of humor and a refreshing sense of self-awareness, Bunnie pulls no punches as she shares her journey of redemption while offering some homespun wisdom to those who need a little saving themselves.

Alisa DeFord, known to her millions of fans as Bunnie Xo, started at the bottom and spent the first part of her life falling even deeper. Now, Bunnie Xo is one of today’s most successful podcasters and has paved her way through the entertainment industry as the owner of Dumb Blonde Productions, building an empire with heart and personality at the forefront.

Stripped Down is the story of how Bunnie Xo rose to the top, how she used her own wiles to reach her goals, how she knew redemption was up to her—and that no one could hand it to her—and a message to anyone who needs advice on breaking their own cycles.

Hilarious, earnest, thought-provoking, and occasionally downright shocking, Stripped Down is a modern-day rag-to-riches story and a message of hope to anyone struggling to redeem themselves.

Felt so seen!!!

Reading Stripped brought a lot up for me. The way Bunnie is so honest and free about the way she grew up, the trauma endured, and fighting through it all to change generational trauma made me cry. I could relate so much to this book from the mother/father dysfunction, drug use, anxiety, depression, and assault. These are all things I have endured in life. After finishing the book, I felt seen for all the things I never tell anyone.

Everything Human.

Bunny is no ordinary autobiography. It’s a raw, honest, and hardcore look into a life filled with pain, survival, love, loss, and redemption. The book takes you on an emotional roller coaster — from heartbreaking childhood experiences, to moments of success, destruction, and healing.

She openly shares the reality of being a sex worker and the sacrifices she made to survive and get where she needed to be, all while supporting the very parents who hurt and abandoned her. Even after being shown the darkest sides of love, she still stood beside both of them on their deathbeds with compassion, care, and forgiveness.

What makes this story powerful is the transformation. Through all the chaos and heartbreak, she realized she needed to change — not only for herself, but for Jay’s daughter Bailey as well.

This book is emotional, heavy, inspiring, and at times difficult to read, but it’s also deeply human. A good but hard read that stays with you long after the final page.

Wow

Wow! That’s all I can say. I am not a book reader but after the first chapter, I was hooked. Even with working full time and being a single mama to 3 kiddos, I’ve finished this book in less than a week. Phenomenal!
