Studying Angles for Health Promotion

In order to encourage critical thinking, student engagement, and international collaboration this interdisciplinary project utilized iPad to connect the topics of health promotion, health assessment, and geometry. In this lesson, college nursing students practice delivering health promotion and health assessment information to middle school math students. Middle school math students use the information to collect measurements and analyze the angles created by various joints in the body using a goniometer app on the iPad. This lesson enables students to build digital citizenship skills and gives students real-world context for classroom content.
