Original Book Plot:

Eva is forced to flee Paris in 1942 after her father, a Polish Jew is arrested. She seeks refuge in a small mountain town and begins falsifying identity papers for Jewish children fleeing to neutral Switzerland. However, erasing people comes at a cost, and Eva realizes that she must work with a mysterious, handsome forger named Rémy to preserve the real names of the children who are too young to remember their own identities.
