‘The perfect holiday read to warm your heart’ #1 Bestselling author Tracy Bloom

When the owner of Brides by the Sea, Cornwall’s cutest little wedding shop, offers Lily a job as their new wedding stylist, her first thought is – can she possibly pull it off?

Before she’s even sourced a fairy light or tasted a cupcake, Kip Penryn hires her services – but he’s opened an exclusive wedding venue in direct competition to her friend Poppy!

Lily feels like a traitor working for Kip, only everyone knows Penryn men are gorgeous but unreliable. All she has to do is sit back and watch him mess it up…doesn’t she?

Love is in the Cornish sea breeze this summer as the girls tackle their busiest wedding season yet. There’s plenty of bunting, bubbly and baking – but who is going to catch the bouquet?

‘Funny and big-hearted, I was enchanted by Lily and her friends’ Sunday Times bestselling author Michele Gorman

‘A pure delight…fabulous, fun and unforgettable’ – Debbie Johnson, bestselling author of Christmas at the Comfort Food Cafe

About the author

I write fun, flirty fiction, with feisty heroines and a bit of an edge. Writing romance is cool, because I get to wear pretty shoes instead of wellies. I live in a mountain kingdom in Derbyshire, where my family and pets are kind enough to ignore the domestic chaos. Happily, we’re in walking distance of a supermarket. I love hearts, flowers, happy endings, all things vintage, most things French. When I’m not on Facebook, and can’t find an excuse for shopping, I’ll be walking, or gardening. On days when I want to be really scared, I ride a tandem.

Y’all don’t understand just how excited I get when there’s another book from Jane Linfoot

Jane Linfoot is telling us the story of a little Cornwall village and some of its inhabitants as they navigate returns to their hometowns, find love and careers, and even make some new friends along the way. This is Lily’s story, she’d left town, married and built a wonderful career away from St. Aiden Bay – until the hotel chain made her job redundant, she and her husband split, and she’d returned simply to attend a wedding and visit with friends. All around St. Valentine’s Day. Expecting a compatriot in Jess – another “I don’t need a man” sort of woman, she isn’t prepared for the interest she acquires after landing in the Lily Pond behind the pub during a wedding reception.

With Immie soon to walk up the aisle with hot fireman (and former bridezilla’s fiancé), no job, a ruined suit and good friend Poppy stressed out over a newly announced wedding venue in direct competition with her own Daisy Hill Farm wedding venue, there are no shortages of goings-on. And then, Lily’s mother comes over the radio as part of a Brides by the Sea shop promotion on the radio – in which she is engaged! Bad enough that Lily had no clue, but when she met the new hubby to be, in skinny jeans with her mother in varying day-glo workout wear (an unheard of change), Lily is finding herself in the middle of her mother’s plan to match her up with a local developer, Fred.

Oh gods this was fun – from a local boy returning to the local great house in disgrace after a failure of the family firm with an idea to use the venue as a wedding site after Sera’s sister’s spectacular wedding months earlier. With a giant billboard, massive plans and ideas without the first clue of how to implement them, a walled garden perfect for Lily to grow her mother’s bouquet (a request), and a take-no-prisoners attitude toward competition, the game is afoot. It takes Jess with a plan to keep Lily around while expanding the business into planning, and hiring Lily out to keep an eye on the new venture.

The story, layered with twists, turns and laughs is classic Linfoot – you care about these characters, and can read about them and their lives and if you are like me, have every book on your shelf to read and reread when you need to find that place of comfort. I have ALL of her books in eBook, and every paper copy I can get my hands on, and have read each story at least twice. If you enjoy a story that is full of friendship, possibilities and plenty of heart – grab this one now.

I purchased a copy of the title for my own library without requirement or expectation of review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.
