Grey Hoodie
I just don’t understand why so many people wouldn’t think it would be strange for someone to be nosing around in a grey hoodie when it’s the middle of summer. I get that it was reasonable in April, maybe even in May. I haven’t been to London come mid-summer though, I’ve watch Wimbledon my whole life and hoodies just don’t seem to be something Normally warn then.
Larry’s gut instincts on the identity of the Surgeon we’re correct. Since he’s been chasing him through two books now, despite people telling him initially that there were lots of people wearing grey hoodies, why would this gut instinct be any different, his suspicions were right on target.
The manner in which Larry and the gang got the hookers to trust them was cute.
The one thing about the last few novels is they have basically been about Klempner. There’s been some side stuff thrown in, but this book and the last have been about Klempner and his redemption. If anything, Klempner there’s a few scenes with him and the guys. The women have been thrown in, especially in this book as annoying fluff. One helpful scene, the rest could basically have been thrown out. Georgie got a chapter, which only made her less likable. I think a sanctimonious Ben-like, less homicidal character was needed so we got Georgie.
Predictions for the future: Georgie’s mother is off the rails, so another homicidal person in that family in the future isn’t out of the question. Lydia also has the potential of nut job in her future. It seems to be she is falling into the no good deed goes unpunished category.

Hold on
On the edge of your seat suspense and fast paced enough to hook you from the start, this book gives you the next peek into the hunt for the Surgeon. The pieces fit together much better if you have read the previous books in this series. It’s great to see Klempner in his element, and I’m intrigued to see what happens next after the awesome cliffhanger.
