Loved it
I am loving Charmaine Pauls Corsican Crime Lord series so much, book three Tears Like Acid had my emotions all over the place while I was reading it. I feel a connection to Angelo and Sabella as I learn more about them. They’re both strong and loving people who are stuck from the consequences happening to their lives right now. I hope they’re finally going to push past all that and find their happily ever after soon. I can’t wait to read book four soon. I totally recommend this series to everyone.

This is the third book in the Corsican Crime Lord series, and it is not a standalone. I will also caution those with triggers to proceed with caution. The book picks up where Hate Like Honey ended and there is a brief recap. However, things go from bad to worse and Angelo is struggling with his feelings towards Sabella. He is dealing with so much pain and loss that his only outlet is Sabella. She is willing to do anything for the man she fell for but not at the expense of losing herself. This storyline will have any reader entranced by the dynamics between Angelo and Sabella and when some other of Angelo’s family enter the picture…For all of the action and retribution, there are heartfelt moments that will have you salivating for more. I cannot wait for the next book.
Revenge and Love
Tears Like Acid continues the dark romance between Sabella and Angelo who are settling into their unusual conditions of their marriage. Angelo seeks revenge upon Sabella as an informant confirms she has betrayed him with Officer Lavigne when she was held at the police station following their wedding and banishes her to the home built for his deceased mother’s family. Their story has great characters, angst, lies, betrayal, intrigue, misunderstandings, and steamy passion. This well written and excellent series by Charmaine Pauls concludes in the final book, Kisses Like Rain.
