It's all right, I only read it because it's by Sarah Dessen. It doesn't have that same can't-put-it-down quality that most of her other books have, so I was sort of disappointed, although this is a good debut for her.
I've read all of Sarah Dessen's books, but this was definitely my least favorite. There was no real captivation in the novel. Yes it had the main character in the same kind of place as her other books, but for some reason there just wasn't as much of a good plot as the rest. I didn't finish it immediately, or rave about it for days, or get that "wow such a great book" feeling. To be honest, I would maybe read this because it's not an awful book, but definitely go with one of her other ones if possible. Dessen doesn't disappoint, but I was expecting more from this after reading her other novels, and unfortunately, I didn't get it.
Read this book about 6 years ago maybe? Very good. Haven't forgotten this book since I read it.
