She's accused of murder. And she's running out of time.
When Coroner Fenway Stevenson is accused of a brutal murder she didn't commit, the evidence seems airtight: the murder weapon is found in her apartment, and she had a public altercation with the victim just days before his death. But Fenway knows she's being framed—and someone in Estancia is determined to see her behind bars.
With the sheriff's office turning against her, Fenway goes on the run and sets out to prove her innocence. But clearing her name won't be easy. As she chases clues through a tangled web of secrets, she uncovers connections to a thirty-year-old unsolved murder... and a startling link to her own mother.
Each discovery leads to more questions—and more danger. With the real killer still out there, watching her every move, Fenway can't trust anyone. Not her friends. Not her colleagues. Not even the people she once considered family.
As the body count rises and the clock ticks down, Fenway must risk everything to expose the truth. Because if she doesn't find the real killer soon, she won't just lose her career and her freedom—she could lose her life.
Taut, layered, and emotionally charged, The Accused Coroner is a pulse-pounding addition to the Fenway Stevenson Mysteries. With twists that will keep readers guessing, this hardboiled mystery delivers high-stakes suspense and unforgettable character drama.
Start The Accused Coroner today and discover a mystery where the hunter becomes the hunted—and nothing is more dangerous than the ghosts of the past.

The Accused Coroner
OOOH DEAR! I NEED MORE OF FENWAY AND CRAIG. THIS WAS A GREAT READ. SAD ABOUT GRANDMA NELL. THEY DESERVED TO GET TO KNOW ONE ANOTHER. CANT WAIT TO READ #8 TO LEARN WHATS IN THE CARDS FOR THIS BUNCH❣️
Another fantastic Fenway book!
The Fenway Stevenson series follows nurse practitioner turner coroner, Fenway Stevenson, as she follows the evidence to solve crimes. The seventh book in the series places Fenway smack in the middle of her own mystery.
The book opens with Fenway attending her grandmother’s funeral. While at the funeral she gets the call that they mayor (who she just smacked days ago) was murdered and she must evade cops because they think she killed him. Fenway must choose to be on the run and head to Mexico or stay and try to clear her name. Of course she chooses to stay and we proceed to follow her through a maze of clues finally getting to the truth of who really murdered the mayor and is trying to set her up.
Several times throughout the book I was sure I knew who had killed the mayor and who was setting Fenway up for the fall, but plots twists they kept coming and I was reading well into the night to reach the conclusion.
One of my favorite things about this series is the author’s ability to weave not just the main mystery of the book but also adding these overarching mysteries that cross over several books. In this book we finally learn why Fenway’s mother disappeared from LA thirty years ago and what happened to all the money her rich father was paying Fenway’s mother for decades.
Though each book can be read as a standalone, I recommend reading them all. Happy reading!
