Publisher Description
She crossed galaxies to save humanity. Losing her heart was never part of the mission.
Science officer Eva La Croix is part of an elite team of explorers on a desperate mission to find a new home before Earth collapses. When they land on a lush, uncharted planet, hope flickers—until they're ambushed by alien warriors.
The Primarians are fierce, primal, and on the brink of extinction. Their leader, a golden-eyed barbarian with a commanding presence, claims Eva as his own. Whisked away to a world of sensual rituals and rigid traditions, the women are cherished and protected… but expected to obey.
Eva didn't survive Earth's chaos to become someone's prize. Torn between duty and desire, she resists the pull of the alien who ignites her body and challenges her spirit. As escape looms, so does a choice: return to the stars and the mission she swore to complete—or stay and risk everything for a passion that could rewrite her destiny.
Publisher's Note: The Barbarian's Captive is a sci-fi romance with sizzling chemistry, high stakes, and emotional transformation. It contains adult themes and power dynamics that may be disturbing to some readers.

Great read ( spoiler alert )
I really enjoyed this book and just got done buying the second in this series. I would of given this book 5 stars but there’s one part in this book that’s just a little to much. It is towards the end of the book around the last few chapters where Eva isn’t sure is she wants to leave or say with her alien mate. Not realizing that her alien mate that she has realized she loves is dying because of her departure. Eva departure isn’t due to her leaving but an evil alien female that’s in love with Eva mate. Anyway the only way she can help him survive is through a really strange mating ritual that take place in front of his alien friend. It’s really kind of bad and I wish the author would of thought of another way for Eva to save her alien mate. Other then that part I throughly enjoyed this book and look forward to ready the second book.
