Man, Vlad is just bad… man.
These are some of the best and most re-readable books I’ve ever come across.
The world Brust builds is immersive and wholly fleshed-out and original.
Very few fantasy authors can avoid writing falling into the tropes, but Brust will literally call it out to the reader when he appears to necessarily approach one.
Vlad’s sardonic humor and Brust’s wit in turning a phrase is addictive and the suspense will keep you turning page after page.
Pro tip: Read them in publishing order. It will make you respect how much he’d already built in his mind before he put pen to paper with Jhereg.
