The Bottom Line

Jessica Yates needs money. Preferably yesterday. Between her day job as a public school occupational therapist, moonlighting at the local children's hospital, and teaching yoga, she's almost able to manage school loans, her mom's rent, and her sister's college aspirations. Until the new CFO at the hospital terminates her position.  

Armed with financial data, glowing performance reviews, and enough righteous anger to fuel a jumbo jet, Jess storms into the CFO's office first thing Monday morning. And comes face to face with last Friday's one-night stand.   

Sure, it's awkward to state her case to a man she last saw in considerably less than the suit and tie he's wearing now, a man who had her literally begging for his touch. But she'll give it her best shot, because The Bottom Line is that love is a distraction she can't afford.
