Great Read
The Children (Billy Jo McCabe Mystery Book 7) was a great read by Lorhainne Eckhart. Social worker Billy Jo accidentally picks up the wrong file and discovers that there is a mystery plotted by a high ranking social worker in the DCFS. She takes the file to Mark but he doesn’t believe her. They wind up discovering dozens more files and missing money from vulnerable at risk children. These children aged out of the system and are living on the streets. I enjoyed reading this book and cant wait to read more by the author.
Tragic
Billy Jo and Mark are determined to find out what’s going on with inconsistencies in CPS files. What they find out is tragic, heart-wrenching and despicable. This series, even though I’ve read out of order, is phenomenal !! Yes it is all tragic in one way or another and unfortunately paints a very real picture of what can or possibly is happening. Lorhainne has the nack to grab your attention for the start and keeps you intrigued til the end. Between the budding relationship with Billy Jo and Mark to all the horrible island secrets. .
