A. A former Dallas attorney, Gimenez offers an entertaining window onto the city's legal world, but he telegraphs most of the story, and his attempts at negotiating Dallas's race and class conflicts fall flat; whether platitudinous or wise-cracking, the minor characters unintentionally reinforce the stereotypes the book works so hard to combat.

I loved this book.
It should be required reading for all law students, lawyers, and judges. As a retired attorney, it made me laugh, cry, and think.

I enjoyed it from the first page to the last. He is a new author for me…. This is the 3rd book in a row in the last couple of weeks. Enjoy!
