Solid continuation of the Confectioners tale
The debut novel in this series focused on the development of the main characters using a murder mystery format. The second novel is structured primarily around political intrigue, and romance takes a stronger role than in the first book. Interestingly, food magic is once again rarely employed even though it would seem to be a handy tool in many situations. This story includes enough twists to remain entertaining and the reader is left hanging at the end, wondering how the story will develop.
The Confectioner’s Coup
This 2nd book in the series broke my heart in so many ways but, still delivered and left me wanting more. Highly enjoyable series!0
