Publisher Description
Like recovering from heart surgery beneath the gaze of his over-protective family isn't exasperating enough, someone keeps trying to break into Adrien English's bookstore. What is this determined midnight intruder searching for?
When a half-century old skeleton tumbles out of the wall in the midst of Cloak and Dagger Bookstore's renovation, Adrien turns to hot and handsome ex-lover Jake Riordan -- now out-of-the closet and working as a private detective.
Jake is only too happy to have reason to stay in close contact with Adrien, but there are more surprises in Adrien's past than either one of them expects -- and one of them may prove hazardous to Jake's own heart.

A great series
A great ending to the Adrien English series!
This series of five books have been a pleasure to read. Many an hour was spent reading these books, absorbed by them, getting away from my day-to-day worries when I most needed it.
Now, I am hooked
This series is a good. I REALLY hope there is a sequel to this book; hopefully more books to come.
Adrien coming full circle
FULL Circle
Adrien with an “e” has come full circle with ALL of his relationships. I found myself saying “Adrien get a hold of yourself” but then I realize this is Adrien’s time to decide what he wants…but more importantly WHO is the man he really wants to spend the rest of his life with. What a journey this has been for Adrien – a lot like book 2, the relationships in this book are at the forefront and the mystery is the background story BUT woven together so beautifully.
Let’s not forget Jake has taken this journey with Adrien – it warms your heart when he finally takes off his identity handcuffs and embraces the man he is destined to be.
Welcome back to “that boy”
Without even realizing it, Adrien is the brother I believe the girls have longed for…
*Love the “get over him” luncheon with Natalie
*Emma’s quest for her horse Adagio
*Lauren’s rescue ride home for Adrien
The honest, heartfelt dialogue exchanged between Adrien and Jake had me, as a reader, cheering them both on. Love can be described in any relationship as moments of joy, anger, sorrow, pain, respect, trust etc. but at the end of the day you take that leap of faith.
If you love the series, you will LOVE this book.
I hope J. Lanyon treats us to a Christmas mystery – spending Christmas in England with the family sounds like fun!!!
