Linnie, Ming and Jackson don’t like fakers, the people who cheat, lie and climb over others to get what they want. They make up a game to get back at them. The object is public humiliation, which the kids figure is appropriate retribution for cheaters. But the game goes wrong, almost as if it is playing itself. Or could someone else possibly have taken it over? When a student on their “hit” list dies, Linnie, Ming and Jackson know they have to do something to stop a game that is out of control. But how do you stop something when you can’t figure out the rules?
The game was murder...
Minnie, Ling, and Jackson don’t like people who lie, cheat, and steal to get what they want. Their plan for revenge: The Dead Game. It’s a harmless, but complicated game where you choose an enemy and find a way to publicly humiliate them. Unfortunately, the game turns deadly. Their targets fall victim to horrible accidents, one of which kills one of their “victims.” Who is behind these alleged “accidents?” And why are they manipulating the game in such a dangerous, horrifying way? The three friends must figure it out... or the game will kill them! Final Exam is a better book, but A. Bates’ The Dead Game is shocker that fans of 90s teen horror novels won’t be able to get enough of!
