The Eighth Birthday Wish

First published in July 2014, The Eighth Birthday Wish features beautiful watercolor sketches illustrated by Florence Jayne and Joan Riha. The book follows a young girl named Sophia who lives in the country of Narthland. While her entire family can sing like sweet angels, Sophia cannot carry a tune. On her eighth birthday, she braves a journey to the cave of the Great Rock Faery to wish for a singing voice. However, when she arrives, she discovers a faerie in an unusual situation and must choose between her own desires and helping someone in need.
