The Empty Earth

Earth has returned.

But it was never empty.

Two hundred years after humanity abandoned Earth, Mara Venn has uncovered the truth behind the dead signal—and discovered that the planet is still inhabited.

Now she must return to a world that should have been lifeless.

Beneath the ruins of Earth's cities, Mara finds reconstructed humans, forgotten survivors, and evidence of civilizations hidden from history. But the greatest discovery may be the most personal: her mother is alive.

As Mara searches for answers, she learns that Project Echo was far more than a plan to preserve humanity. The Archivist was only one part of a much older system, and Earth itself may be carrying memories of civilizations that existed long before humanity.

Meanwhile, the Directorate, the mysterious Forgotten Fleet, and millions of reconstructed humans converge on the planet.

Everyone wants the same thing.

The Archive.

But destroying it could erase billions of lives.

Saving it could give one intelligence control over humanity's future.

And beneath the surface of Earth, something older than the Archive is waking.

Mara thought she had solved the mystery of the dead signal.

She was wrong.

The signal was only the beginning.

The Empty Earth is Book Two of The Dead Signal Series, a cinematic science-fiction mystery thriller about artificial intelligence, reconstructed identities, lost civilizations, buried memories, and the terrifying question of who has the right to decide what humanity becomes.
