The Enchanted Barn is Enchanting
The Enchanted Barn has always been one of my most favorite Grace Livingston Hill books. If I didn’t know any better, I’d say it may be one of the inspirations for the renovating of old barns back in my home state of New York; especially of my generation.
Funny how the old barn in this book is just the back drop for all that goes on through out it. It’s a little more unrealistic than Cloudy Jewel. Cloudy Jewel’s story was more believable as far as a story line goes. The Enchanted Barn almost seems too good to be true even for a fictional book.
It’s still a joy to read and one of the best Grace Livingston Hill ever wrote.
