The MC is damaged but has barely lived life.
She repeats the same descriptions over and over and over again. Not every second of her moments with him need 20 pages of description. Also, does no one care that this man is preying on a child? A 20 year old girl with a lot of damage. I like Ethan, but come on, your struck by a meeting with a child? Even the reader in the audio book is annoying an over annunciates. She loves margaritas and mimosas but she’s 20 and he couldn’t find a grown up to go out with 😜🤣 she needs a mentor not a a romantic relationship with her boss. Had she been a first year lawyer, I would feel less squeamish about their dynamic. Also, I’ve grown up with a lot of prep kids, most of them aren’t using descriptive words in their journal like unadulterated or churlish.
