Publisher Description
He's the sexy widowed dad who owns a local bar. She takes his job offer to get away from her over-protective family. Are they too different to make a marriage of convenience work?
Being a single dad taking care of my critically ill mother was never in my plans. I'm in over my head when Rilla Grant steps in to help me. She's quiet, shy—my polar opposite—but she loves my little girl, and that's all that matters. Circumstances force us into a marriage of convenience, but I'm not going to risk my heart again. Or am I?
Falling in love might be the craziest chance we ever take.

The First One by Tawdra Kandle
5 stars
Flynn is a good honorable man, with a huge heart, a strong love for his family, and a heart still broken by his first love and high school sweetheart. Ali is a good, honest, loving woman, a great mom, and has sacrificed a lot to keep her family together and happy. Ali also has a kept a huge secret from Flynn ever since graduation, when her heart was broken, and she had to pick up the pieces to raise her artistic, happy daughter.
When Flynn and Ali meet again it is obvious that despite all the hurt there is still a spark between them. The journey they take to heal and co-parent is full of kindness, compassion and eventually a passion they just can’t deny. I really loved their love story, the evolution their relationship took, and how they took a healthy path to their future with honesty being a vital part of the process.
Once again Tawdra’s writing wrapped me into this sweet southern world and I couldn’t put this book down until I finished. I have no doubts my heart will get wrapped up again when the final book The Only One is released.
