From USA TODAY bestselling author Stefanie London comes the second book in her scorching-hot miniseries Close Quarters! Drew Richardson discovers she’s been having a racy affair with the best man at her sister’s wedding… Will their irresistible chemistry turn into something deeper?
I swore off romance after my ex broke my heart, so I’m not thrilled to be back home performing maid-of-honor duties for my twin sister. Her bridesmaids want everything to be capital P Perfect, and the best man, Flynn Lewis, is a giant pain in the ass—if his emails are anything to go by. Thank God for the delicious distraction next door: the anonymous “Mr. Suit.”
My nameless neighbor is utterly gorgeous and oh-so-serious. After a racy night of passion at his place, the truth comes out. “Mr. Suit” and Flynn Lewis are one and the same. Flynn wants a woman who’s as serious as he is—someone who wants to stay in Melbourne. But I’m happiest heading off on another adventure. We might be complete opposites, but the chemistry between us is red-hot…as long as no one gets burned.

Flynn Lewis has dedicated his life to his job. He even keeps a picture by his desk to remind him of why he has to succeed, his niece’s life depends on it. His niece was diagnosed with a rare, terminal disease. So he has devoted his own money, time and life to hopefully finding/researching a cure. He hopes to not only help his niece, but others like her. So his job is his life, nothing else matters. Until he sees a woman in distress, locked in the stairwell...
Drew Richardson has led a life of “not feeling worthy enough, alone”. Even though Drew is a twin, she always felt unloved. Her sister was sick as a child and their mom devoted all her time and love to her twin. Hence, Drew left home and became a world traveler as a flight attendant-never building roots, relationships. Always searching. But she’s back in Australia to serve as maid of honor in her sister’s wedding. Never mind that she can’t stand the groom-to-be or his best man. But Drew loves her sister and will do anything to make her happy, even getting along with the best man. Until she meets him...
Such a great, authentic story! I actually felt Drew’s pain when her sister, who she loves more than life, didn’t stand up for her. I could clearly envision her Epic costume and immediately wished I had an engagement party that was fun, instead of stuffy. I liked how Flynn seemed to sense Drew’s needs before she did. His devotion to his family made him the ultimate catch! Drew was able to be herself with Flynn, a girl willing to put down roots. Awesome, touching story! I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.
