Severely Disappointing; Rather Insulting
While I really appreciate all the recipes, being sold as the cookbook from the 2023 season of Bake Off, it doesn’t have 80% of the recipes by the bakers on the show. This was my favorite season. I loved Matty and everyone else. I cried when people left. But there’s no mention of their names in this book. Yeah, their pictures are in here, but what a missed opportunity to credit them with their name. And what an insult to deprive them of this credit. Also, a background on each of them would have been wonderful. We buy this book for the recipes AND the bakers. It would have been a better book had they arranged us just like it is, but picked the best recipes of that corresponding episode and then maybe a bonus one as well. As it is, it just seems random and not entirely honest.
